‘‘ I began this series in 2004. Influenced by the work of Duchamp, Supports/Surface and BMPT, I began to rethink my own work more critically. I chose to use ribbon instead of paint and weaved it into a frame. ’’

" The weavings create an abstract composition. The weavings constitute all at once the canvas, the paint and the motif. My artwork breaks out of the workshop into the street where it is discovered unexpectedly by an audience as they go about their daily travels. "
